10 April Not Much Today

A pretty relaxed day today.

The main excitement for this morning was a discovery of a mini panettone from Christmas! Still in date it was the ideal accompaniment for our morning coffee. A bit like a cross between a muffin and a lardie cake.

In between a bit of cupboard sorting, phone calls to update on pensions and wrapping birthday presents ready to be posted, Amy and I made a start on pinning up curtains ready to be shortened. I just need to get some matching cotton and then I'll be ready to get the sewing machine into gear. A job for this weekend hopefully.

This afternoon was spent visiting two shops and a garden centre to return unwanted silk flowers and greenery. Nice to get some money back. Not that it'll stay in my account for long as tomorrow evening I'm out for dinner with friends from baby massage days (25 years ago!). I'm looking forward to seeing them and going out for a Turkish meal - a bit of a change.
