8 June Summer Fair & High Tea

We've had a bit of a gut busting cake day!

This morning my friend Pauline gave a call to see if I was around for a cuppa. She suggested a visit to the Spadeworks summer fair this morning. I was!

First stop on the way to Pauline's was to collect a free set of garden furniture in need of a bit of TLC. Good old nextdoor app has some bargains if your quick off the mark. A bit of a project to keep us busy for the next week or so.

We then drove on to Spadeworks in Offham and were lucky to get a parking spot fairly quickly. It was packed! Lots of craft stalls and entertainment.

Just shared a white chocolate and raspberry brownie with our tea. Yummy 😋.

An amazing lively drumming group played after the local ukulele group and before the Rock Choir.

We enjoyed our potter around the stalls and made a few purchases. Pauline won a bottle of gin on the bottle tombola which I said I'm sharing as I didn't win anything 😂.

Back home the men were busy in the garden. Freddie has been tackling the weeds and tending to his vegetable patch.

Ian has been painting an old bike shaped plant pot holder and made a start on taking the garden table apart.

This afternoon Ian and I were over at the sailing club for the annual tea party.

A fantastic spread. We came back absolutely stuffed and had to spend the evening lounging to let it all digest 😄.

Fingers crossed for decent weather tomorrow to let us work on the garden furniture. We might also squeeze in a walk.
