A bit of a snowy start to the morning, but up here in Scotland the roads were clear. North of the border snow doesn't make everything grind to a halt.
After breakfast I was off on a drive to Perth to catch up with my old nursing flatmate. There's a 40 year reunion this February which sadly I'm missing due to our travel plans.
John and I had our twice yearly reunion as since Peter's been up here we always manage a get together. A bit different to our last July meet up, when we had to put sun cream on whilst sitting in the garden. This time it was wearing extra layers inside as the central heating wasn't working and the electrician was in mending it 😀. I was fine as I take my fleecy slippers with me and currently I live in thermals.
We had a lovely catch up and lunch before I got back by 4pm. In which time Peter had dough proving for our pizza dinner and had secured a missing handle on a kitchen drawer.
Then it was sorting the water temperature in the bath by tweaking the thermostatic valve. All sorted now!
With warmer weather forecast tomorrow (at least above freezing) we're planning a trip to an owl centre, as Peter's keen to take some wildlife photos. There's also a few boxes to be unpacked and a trip to the tip to fit in.
