19th December Washed Out

Can't quite believe the amount of rain we've had since getting back from Spain. We managed 3 months over there with only a bit of drizzle a couple of times! We certainly were awash with the wet stuff today as it was continuous for most of the day.

We still managed to get out despite the weather this morning and for the remainder of the day stayed in the warm and dry. An ideal afternoon for a spot of cooking - toffee Rice Krispies for Amy's work Christmas lunch. Not sure how many she'll be taking as they are a bit moreish. I'm already making more tomorrow as Peter was quite disappointed that I only let him have the bits that didn't fit in the box 😄.

Today I've been working on a crochet project. Taking a bit longer than I thought as I had to look up how to do some of the stitches. I'm still learning so I've not yet remembered the types of stitches. Thankfully YouTube has some good videos to help out.

A big of sewing as well. On the train back from London we noticed a bell had dropped off. I thought I'd just have to manage with a bell short. Imagine my surprise to find a bell in my pocket. It must've got caught in there when I stuffed it in for safe keeping. I'll soon have my hat back to being fully bell functional.

Tomorrow looks dry so we plan to get out. Probably a trip into Maidstone and then we're out on a games night with friends.
