4th August Out for Lunch

We realised we were running out of dog food so a trip out today was required. As we were off on an adventure we decided to combine our little shopping trip with lunch out.

Firstly we took the dogs off on a canal walk taking a reverse route to one we taken before. Initially we walked across a field at the back of Rob's house where there is a playing field set up for a tournament being held this weekend. In the neighbouring fields there are currently loads of horses, horseboxes and a horsey camp - the UKPA camp and Tournament (UK Polocrosse Association).

Polocrosse is a cross between polo and lacrosse - yes, a new one to me as well. It has a goal post each end and flags at regular intervals. It'll be interesting seeing it in use over the weekend.

Not quite summer but at least it was lovely and green along the canal.

On this route we diverted across the fields, taking a bridge route and fighting with nettles!

Once the dogs were nicely exhausted we left them to rest while we drove over to Redditch for lunch and dog food shopping. We returned feeling very full and have taken it easy for the rest of the evening.

Tomorrow it'll be Polocrosse watching but if it's raining as forecast I have a feeling I'll be inside 😀.
