Anyway today we have been coping with some pretty odd weather. One minute we were having heavy downpours and then it was brilliant sunshine. So after an attempt to go for a walk to the village with the dogs had to be postponed as the heavens opened, we had a cuppa and the weather was then in our favour.
With anoraks packed in our rucksack we headed across the fields and down loads of steps to the village.
In the afternoon we left the exhausted dogs having a nap while we headed off to explore. This time we visited the NT Tudor property, Coughton Court where the Throckmorton family have lived since the 1400s. Several members being involved in the Gunpowder plot!
As you can see we had a sunny visit and drove there with Rolo's roof down. This time we navigated on roads actually wide enough for 2 cars, a vast improvement to our journey to Packwood House when the roads were narrow and had grass growing down the middle! Ian thinks I take him on off road trips on purpose - it's not me though. Good old sat nav!
After we drove home we enjoyed a cuppa sitting out in the sunshine in the garden. It soon changed and there was a huge deluge. Luckily we all got back inside in the time. It would be lovely to have a bit more of this sunshine - a rare commodity at the mo 😀.
