18th July Day in Out of the Rain

A very quiet day with our plans to go out postponed until tomorrow because of the unpredictable rain.

We spent the day listening to the patter of rain on the conservatory roof while enjoying the view of the garden. Mum also made a delicious roast chicken with all the trimmings followed by sherry trifle - my favourite 😋.

When on short occasions it did dry up we spotted the butterflies flitting from bush to bush. The pigeons who normally balance in the gutters for a drink were also staying out of the rain.

So I spent the day sewing, knitting, helping with the coffee time crossword and a spot of reading. Very relaxing 😊.

A bit of a different pass time to yesterday when I sat out in the sunshine.

As I'm back to the van tomorrow afternoon Mum and I plan to go on our postponed trip in the morning.
