25th January A Bit of Pampering

I'm not sure whether being numbed up to have my temporary crown replaced really counts. But at least I've now got a crown that colour matches the rest of my gnashers. My numb nose (a new experience for me - the injection must've been put in a bit higher than previously) and half a tongue were worth it as I can now eat of both sides of my mouth. Just a return visit tomorrow to sort out my retainer - one of the disadvantages of grinding my teeth in my sleep is the necessity to wear some natty mouth gear which makes me look like I'm ready for a rugby scrum😁.

On the way back I popped into Sainsbury's to get some horseradish sauce for Bridget. Apparently it's not easy getting decent stuff in in New Zealand. So they're wrapped up and in plastic bags ready to be packed in the centre of my luggage. Just hope there's no problems getting it through customs.

This afternoon I had stage 2 of my pampering - a wash and cut. Should keep me looking decent until we return. Just toe nails to paint this evening and then my legs need some serious work. The winter woolly mammoth look just doesn't go with summer wear and sandals!

The fridge/freezer is now nearly empty so tomorrow it'll be time to defrost it before meeting up with my walking buddies. It's ages since I had a proper walk so I'm really looking forward to it.
