Before Mum and I ventured out to Church Stretton for her hair appointment I knocked up a Bolognese ready for lunch. Then we headed off anticipating the possibility of trees down. However, other than a branch that had snapped and was hanging very low over the road on our route there, we didn't come across anything else. I think we got off lightly in comparison to other areas across the country shown on the news with clock towers blown down, garden sheds taking off and airplanes diverted to France.
Anyway after Mum had a haircut we had a potter around the town purchasing a few bits and pieces. Then a stop for a cuppa in Berry's before a Co-op shop and back via the village shop.
This afternoon I've finished my Christmas book (but not the chocolate - still plenty to go 😀). So without any knitting to do I've made a start on a John Grisham book 'Camino Winds', found lurking in a pile of books. Hopefully I'll get it finished before returning to Kent on Wednesday.
Can't believe it but the news has been saying there's another storm coming in. Looking at the long range forecast thankfully it'll be clear of storms and strong winds for flights in and out of Heathrow over the weekend.
